ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCATION DO WHAT YOU LOVE CAMPAIGN:

ART SHOWCASE FOR ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH

In October, I hosted a showcase of my original works at The Yard NYC for the purpose of raising funds for Alzheimer’s Disease research, an event that converged my passion for creating art with my research background in developing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.

I am proud to announce that we have since raised over 2.5 thousand dollars, almost double our goal. Thank you to everybody who attended my showcase and supported this wonderful cause!

Although the event has concluded, please donate — all proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Association!

Pharmacological Equity Project:

ASIAN HEALTH GUARDIAN INITIATIVE

The Asian Health Guardian is a youth-led community health initiative addressing pharmacogenomic equity for Asian American patients, addressing a population that CDC data estimates to be 8.4 million prescription users. Through a bilingual survey of 125 community respondents, our team investigated gaps in medication safety communication, with side effects and language barriers emerging as the community's leading concerns.

Addressing these concerns, we developed a bilingual medication-safety manual cross-referencing FDA, CPIC, and CDC guidance on five drugs commonly impacting these targeted populations.

This pamphlet has reached over 300+ people in multiple US counties and 3+ countries!
